About Me
I moved to the Upper West Side in 1967 and raised 4 children here.
Living here since the 60’s I’ve certainly seen it change into the great area it has become. AARP recently designated the Upper West Side of Manhattan as the second best place for senior citizens to live in the entire United States. Great transportation, diversity, museums, medical, etc.
I’ve always had the real estate “bug”. I bought my first house in Florida when I was 21 and have owned houses in New Jersey and 3 houses in the Berkshires as rentals. In 1975 I purchased an old Inn in the center of Stockbridge , Ma. and with a friend renovated it and turned it into two 5 bedroom,3.5 bath condos. It gives me great satisfaction today to know that I saved the old house. It stood empty many years and the town had wanted to tear it down.
I was very active in converting my Mitchell Lama building into fair market housing into fair market housing in 2009.
In 1984 I joined Klara Madlin Real Estate and have been selling apartments on the Upper West Side ever since. I love working with clients especially out-of-towners, introducing them to the Upper West side and helping them find just the right home. I also love the other side ….getting a listing, a marketing plan and holding open houses. There is nothing more satisfying than to know you have helped someone into their new home.
